A Bunch of Animals: The Nitro Crew Visits Australia Zoo

Between stops on the current tour of Australia, some of the Nitro Crew spent a day at Australia Zoo to get up close and personal with animals from all over the world. Which coincidentally is not unlike the VIP experience for audience members at a live Nitro show. Australia Zoo was founded by the parents of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. He grew up there, which is where he got all his experience with animals. It’s common knowledge that Australia is full of wildlife that is hellbent on ending you — just last week on the current tour one of the behind-the-scenes crew was the victim of a nasty spider bite that required medical attention. So Jed Mildon, Ryan Williams, Bruce Cook, Brandon Schmidt, and a few others were excited to get closer to some cuddlier creatures. OK, they weren’t all soft and nice animals, but hugging a koala and kissing a giraffe fall way down on the carefree end of the animal encounter spectrum.
