Beaver Fleming Eyes Olympics After Strong Finish at Vans Park Series

If you want to be up to speed in time for the skateboarding park event at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, you need to be paying attention to events like the Vans Park Series, the continental qualifier for the World Championships in Shanghai in September. Nitro skate legend Beaver Fleming made a convincing run, placing ninth out of 80 athletes. “I only got one real day of practice on the course. On the day of the competition, on my one practice run before the heat, I collided with another skater,” Beaver says. Ever the optimist, he sees only positives in the result. “It was amazing being involved and figuring out where I need to grow to get ready for the Olympics, which is a major goal.” In his latest edit, Beaver shares his perspective on his runs.
