Road 2 Recovery Fund Launched for Colten Moore
Nitro team member and X Games gold medalist Colten Moore’s spinal injury will need extensive, expensive rehab, and a Road 2 Recovery page dedicated to him has been launched to help cover the costs. Thankfully, Colten has been up and walking after the crash and subsequent surgery, which occurred during an attempt at a competition-first snowmobile double backflip in January. Colten slightly over-rotated and landed too flat, causing major compaction as his body absorbed the impact of the landing. He dislocated a vertebra and bruised his spine, but surgery was reportedly successful and doctors are optimistic, assuming he gets the right rehab while he recovers. Hit this link for more details on what his recovery will involve.
Two-time Snowmobile Freestyle gold medalist @colt45moore was injured during the performance of the double backflip on a snowmobile at Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado. Colten suffered a dislocated T-12 vertebra, which in turn, bruised his spinal cord. Just after the crash, he was flown to Denver from Aspen and underwent surgery to repair the dislocation. Thankfully, Colten has already been up and walking with the help of his care team. However, due to the injuries suffered, there are some complications and he’ll need to go to a rehabilitation center specializing in spinal cord injuries. You can help his #R2R cause by going to the link in our bio and donating or leave a positive message for Colten to read. More detailed information on Colten and updates will be posted on R2R's website. #HelpColtenRecover #ColtenMoore #xgamesaspen #nitrocircus 📷 @nostyleprod
In addition to SMB, Colten is an accomplished quad rider, and he has ridden both in Nitro live shows. The Nitro Crew wishes him a speedy recovery and all the best. Here’s that Road 2 Recovery link again. Consider at least giving it a share to help out a good cause.
