Loads of Highlights From Midway Through New Zealand

February 9, 2017

New Zealand is amazing. Our first two shows went off like we never lost a step, and all the awesome stuff we’ve got up to between shows have made us memories we won’t ever forget. And during the two middle shows on this leg, the hits and sticks just kept coming. In Invercargill, Kurtis Downs earned the MVC by riding through an injured foot and sticking a BMX World First in the process. Kurtis is well known for adapting FMX tricks to BMX, and this new one is no exception:

For those keeping score at home, yes, that is the World First BMX stripper flip, and here is the money moment frozen in time:

There are a bunch of Invercargill photos below, but first check out some action from Nelson, which was our next stop. Here’s what a whip train looks like (and, equally importantly, what it sounds like):

Ethen Roberts rode away with the MVC after the Nelson show for sticking a double backflip tsunami on his mountain bike for the first time this tour. It’s one of his more challenging World Firsts, and it’s easy to see why in the clip:

And, for your enjoyment, here’s a photo dump from Invercargill and Nelson. After you drool over these shots, hit this link to see where we’re headed next, because if you like these photos and videos, you’re going to love seeing this awesomeness live. Huge credit and thanks to Bruce Cook and Lisa Sabalvaro for these amazing shots!
