Sherwood, Sheeny, Taka on Podium at X Fighters Madrid

July 10, 2017

These three can’t be stopped: Levi Sherwood, Josh Sheehan, and Taka Higashino went one-two-three at X Fighters Madrid over the weekend. With Sherwood taking home the top prize at Nitro World Games in June and X Games coming up this weekend, the Kiwi legend is poised to win the FMX Triple Crown this summer. All three landed some of their biggest signature tricks to edge out a tough field for the podium in Madrid. In 2016, Sherwood, Sheehan, and Taka went one-two-three in the inaugural Nitro World Games FMX event. At the 2017 Nitro World Games, Sherwood took first and Sheehan took third — Taka had an unfortunate wipeout attempting a frontflip in his semifinal run. This weekend, all three will be competing at X Games Minneapolis in Moto X Best Trick as well as Moto X Freestyle, so make sure you keep an eye on that. In the meantime, check out some highlights from X Fighters:
