Travis Pastrana and Friends March in the Annapolis St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Despite a somewhat rocky road for Nitro’s 2017 show in Annapolis, Maryland, this weekend solidified that it’s a smooth road from here, as Travis Pastrana, Streetbike Tommy, Gregg Duffy, Jim DeChamp, Trevor Piranha, and other friends were honored to be able to take part in the annual Annapolis St. Patrick’s Day parade. Trevor had the honor of driving the main “float” for this one, and despite some touch-and-go moments having to do with the overhead clearance affected by our makeshift flags, he got this beauty to the designated spot with time to spare (click here for the GIF version if you’re truly ready to party):
All these guys call the Annapolis area home, so they were obviously really excited to take part in this longtime local tradition, but none of them were more pumped than Tommy. “It was my first time actually being in the parade after 10 years of watching,” he says. “It’s a big deal to be a part of it.” He can’t wait for Nitro’s July 23rd show in Annapolis, either. “Beyond pumped,” he says. “Been waiting seven years. I don’t know if anyone else out in the audience has waited seven years for something, but it’s a pretty big deal.” Tommy rode the bus for the mile and a half cruise down Main Street, while Travis and Gregg rode dirtbikes and Jim hopped on a mountain bike. Naturally, everyone wore the most creative green outfits someone could find at the local party supply store at the last minute, and the crowd ate it up. “I never thought I’d be in the parade, let alone a spectacle at the parade,” Tommy says. “But man, thank goodness for Nitro. Dreams come true.” Check out these highlights from the day:
