Travis Pastrana Wins Round Five of the ARA Championship Series

Travis Pastrana claimed his second victory in a row at the New England Forest Rally, with another 1-2 finish ahead of SRTUSA teammate and rival David Higgins. The event is round five of six in the American Rally Association Championship and was Higgins’ race to win after a dominant summer-long performance that put the team 10 points ahead of Travis and co-driver Robbie Durant; a victory here would have won Higgins the championship. Travis’ clutch performance is all the more amazing because halfway into the event on Saturday, Durant suffered a back injured caused by a huge jump, forcing Travis to scramble to find a replacement in Greg Dorman, who came in to call notes on short notice. Travis’ victory means we have one final race to look forward to: The Ojibwe Forest Rally August 25th and 26th. Check out Travis’ account of his NEFR win:
