Clinton Moore Triples Up at X Games Austin
Nitro Circus athletes had a crazy showing last weekend at X Games Austin, with podium sweeps in almost all the FMX events. For Clinton Moore, who was the champion at X Fighters last year, winning an X Games medal has been a lifelong dream, and this year he finally made that dream come true with not one but three Top 3 finishes in Austin: Freestyle, QuarterPipe, and Best Trick. He faced fierce competition, mostly from his Nitro teammates, but in the end the veteran’s epic body varials helped set him apart from the pack.

Friday in the Freestyle event Clinton put together a medal-worthy run that included a flair, a couple of backflip combos, plus a volt and a bundy that helped earn him the third-place spot on the podium and his first-ever X Games medal in this competition. But he wasn’t done. On the final day, he geared up for QuarterPipe and Best Trick. In the QP competition he stuck a beautiful straightforward flair highlighted his strength and technical skill and was enough for third place in that event. Check out this sequence:
And for the main event, Best Trick, Clinton went into his final run having already secured a medal spot with only one more rider to go, so he had nothing to lose. He opted for a huge bundy to no-hander landing and reminded us all why he’s the body varial master. Watch this:
