The world’s most exciting, adrenalin-charged, live action-sports show, Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus Live, is gearing up for the biggest and most spectacular tour in its history, with show dates scheduled in the USA and Canada for the first ever time in January 2014.
Following a string of sell-out shows performed to record breaking crowds in Australia, New Zealand and Europe, action sports icon and Nitro Circus ringleader, Travis Pastrana’s motley crew of 40 of the world’s greatest action sports athletes will be bringing a brand-new, death-defying extravaganza to 15 cities across North America. The show will be the biggest and most audacious action sports production ever staged.
From a small DVD series filmed in Travis Pastrana’s backyard in Maryland, Nitro Circus Live has grown into one of the biggest and most successful live action-sports shows of all time. With over 46 million TV viewers in the US alone and over 750,000 tickets sold worldwide, Nitro Circus Live has captured the imagination of fans across the planet.
“We’ve performed for fans across the world but it’s time to bring Nitro Circus back to where it all began and show North America what we’re made of,” said Pastrana. “We’ve gathered the most insane group of athletes and lunatics who push each other to new extremes at every single show and I’m so pumped we can finally bring that home for fans to enjoy.”
Pastrana, will be bringing the Nitro Circus crew from the hit MTV show and Nitro Circus 3D Movie, including; the world’s leading stunt woman, Jolene Van Vugt (CAN) and multi-talented stuntmen, Special Greg (USA) and Dusty Wygle (USA).
Joining the original crew will be an elite cast of the world’s best action-sports athletes performing the most difficult and dangerous stunts in freestyle motorcross (FMX), BMX, skate and a host of crazy contraptions that no sane person would ever consider riding.
“We sold out the O2 Arena in London, had standing ovations at every stop on our European tour, broke record ticket sales in Australia and were the highest selling tour in New Zealand in 2011, beating ACDC and U2,” said Managing Director of Nitro Circus Live, Michael Porra. “We’ve been waiting for the right time to bring our crazy antics to North America and I know we’ve come up with something special that’s going to blow their minds.”
Nitro Circus Live’s fully choreographed action sports spectacular combines the biggest and best freestyle motocross (FMX) stunts with insane BMX and skateboard action, as well as outrageous feats on a crazy array of contraptions launched off Nitro Circus Live’s multi-million dollar set and famous 50-foot high Nitro Gigant-A-Ramp.
Fans can expect to see everything from kids’ trikes, snow skis, tandem bikes and razor scooters through to shopping trolleys, a Barbie car and even a drinks cooler launched with skill off the Gigant-A-Ramp. The show also features spectacular choreographed FMX riding, including the 10 rider Nitro backflip combination train, which has to be seen to be believed.
