In 2014, Bruce Cook lost the use of his legs while attempting a World’s First double frontflip on a motorcycle. During the attempt, Bruce over-rotated, crashed, and tragically broke his back in the fall. More determined than ever to get back on his bike, he trained day in and day out to climb back in the saddle and do the unthinkable: backflip his motorcycle without the use of his legs. On October 14th, 2015, Bruce completed that goal and became the first paraplegic to backflip a motorcycle. Overcoming obstacles is why Bruce was hooked on FMX from the beginning, and he views his accident the same way. There’s always a way to succeed; you just have to work hard enough. Since his accident, Bruce has ridden countless shows in front of sold-out crowds and his story has inspired millions of people all across the globe.
