X Games Sydney kicks off this weekend, and as usual the lineup is packed with the best action sports athletes. We’ve got a bunch of riders we’re hoping to see go big this weekend. Check out our coverage from Minneapolis this summer right here, and keep reading for our athletes to watch in Sydney.
BMX Big Air (final slated for Sunday at noon local time) will feature four-time medalist and returning champion James Foster and medalist Andy Buckworth, as well competitors newer to X Games: Ryan Williams, Matt Whyatt, Todd Meyn, and Jaie Toohey. Foster, Buckworth, and Toohey will also ride BMX Dirt (final slated for Saturday at 2:45 pm local time), along with heavy-hitters like Colton Walker, Logan Martin, Kyle Baldock, Brandon Loupos, Jacob Bailey, and fan favorite Brian Fox. The Dirt lineup is completely stacked and should make for an amazing contest as these guys push each other to go next level. Check out Foster’s winning Big Air run from this summer in Minneapolis:
On the FMX side, Harry Bink, Josh Sheehan, Adam Jones, Pat Bowden, Taka Higashino, and Rob Adelberg are among the lineup for Moto X Freestyle (final slated for Saturday at 4:45 pm local time), where Tom Pages will look to defend his title from this summer in Minneapolis. For Moto X Best Trick (final slated for Sunday at 5:30 pm local time), Clinton Moore and Libor Podmol, along with Taka, Sheehan, Bink, and Bowden, are set to compete against defending medalists Pages and Adelberg.
Colby Raha, fresh off his win at Nitro World Games Quarterpipe, will seek another title against familiar competition in Moto X QuarterPipe High Air (final slated for Sunday at 1:45 pm local time): Jarryd McNeil, Axell Hodges, and Corey Creed are set to compete. McNeil will also defend his titles in Moto X Step Up and Best Whip (final slated for Sunday at 5 pm local time) — seven of his 11 X Games medals are for Best Whip. Check out his winning whip from Minneapolis right here:
In Sydney, we’ll also get to witness the synchronized spectacle that is Moto X Doubles. Blake “Bilko” Williams will look to add to his six career medals, with the full event lineup as follows:

And in Skateboard Big Air (final slated for Saturday at 6:15 pm local time), Nitro’s own Beaver Fleming is set to challenge for his first X Games hardware against huge talent like Elliot Sloan, Clay Kreiner, and the legend Jake Brown.
