Las Vegas, we are here. Travis Pastrana is preparing to pay tribute to Evel Knievel by re-creating three of his most iconic stunts in three hours on Sunday for Evel Live. He’ll attempt: the crushed car jump, the Greyhound bus jump, and he’ll close out the night with the Caesars Palace fountain jump that almost cost Evel his life. And the best part is, you can watch it happen live on History or in person if you happen to be here in Las Vegas.
If you’re planning to come watch in person, it will be well, well worth it. The crushed car jump and the Greyhound bus jump will take place in the giant lot behind Planet Hollywood at the corner of Koval and Harmon, and it’s completely free and open to the public. There will be live hosts, special guests, food trucks, music, and car displays. Plus free water, shade tents, and misters to keep that heat off. The gates open at 3:30pm and the show starts at 4:30pm, with the first jump around 5:45pm. More details here.
The final jump of the night will be at Caesars Palace. Access is a bit more limited, but there’s a lot of fun stuff going on there too. They’ll have the History broadcast on all the TVs inside the casino, and you can swing by and get your picture taken with the wax Evel Knievel generously provided by Madame Tussauds:
